Materials

In all makerspaces materials are used to conduct research and to produce products. How we use materials is a vital aspect of the circular conversation.

This course begins to consider questions like; “What is a material?” “How are they created?” And “what is a materials best use?”

A talk by Anastasia Pistofidou, director of the FabTextile research lab and all-round materials expert introduces us to materials we may already know, and cutting edge circular alternatives that can be produced in makerspaces.

To prove this concept, there is a great exercise that can be enjoyed by one person or done as a group, that will have you creating bio-materials and using vital makerspace techniques.
